Bargain Hunters Find Long Sleeve Treasures
Like the true deal hunters that we are, we simply cannot resist stopping at garage sales and flea markets. Some people sell some pretty incredible items, not realizing their true worth. Of course, the bombardment of reality cable television shows has spurred a completely new breed of bargain hunters. This includes old clothing shoppers.
Not Like They Used To
They just do not make clothes like those that they used to make them. In a testament to the dressmakers of old, we found some fabulous deals at a yard sale recently featuring long sleeve dresses that were to die for. This led us to visit the local thrift shops and Goodwill Stores in our area and to our amazement, there was a ton of long sleeve dresses for women on sale. Several round racks and one or two stand up clothing rack, the kind that you push around on rollers, we filled with old long sleeve dresses.
Truly Amazing Finds
There were also long sleeve dresses for juniors. The dresses were in excellent condition and there were several hard to fit sizes. The retro styles are coming back, especially in girls long sleeve dresses and gowns. If you consider yourself any kind of treasure hunter when it comes to finding deals, then visit your local thrift stores. You may be amazed, as we were, to find wonderful old clothes like long sleeve dresses.
Dress Up and Halloween
Our daughter even found her sweet 16 dresses there. This is truly surprising as most children only want new clothes, however, our enthusiasm must have worn off on her. Of course, some of the clothes were ridiculously outdated but we purchased them anyway in the hopes of saving money this Halloween. They also help pass the time for children who love to play dress up. You just never know what you will find when you are looking for nothing in particular.
