Battery Back Up Options From APC
Power supply disturbance is incredibly common, however, many small disturbances are never detected. These small disturbances, as well as the large and noticeable ones, can eventually cause your equipment to break down. Line In UPS systems are incredibly effective in situations of power fluctuation. They use Automatic Voltage Regulation to ensure a consistent power supply to your system. Line in systems can both boost a low supply, or reduce a high voltage supply, but they do not operate when power is completely off.
The most effective type of APC battery surge protector back up is the online system. An online system works by converting AC power to DC, and then back again to AC power. This process creates undisturbed power supply that ensures complete protection. Compared to a line-interactive system, an online system is far more proficient in offering complete protection. This proficiency also comes at a price. The equipment an online UPS system needs to operate is much more expensive than that which is required for a line or standby system.
