When you buy Asus notebooks there is a lot to consider such as the size and the weight. This however comes down to a matter of preference and anyone can understand the benefits of a large screen or a low weight. However when you buy Asus notebook you also need to think about the specs and the amount of power the machine is capable of generating as this will greatly affect how you use your computer and what it’s capable of. Here we will look at some of these specs and what they mean to help you buy Asus notebooks that are able to do what you need them to.

Processor: Your processer is the central executive in your machine that all decisions run through. The more powerful this is, the more powerful your computer will be with regards to multitasking and running things quickly. You are looking here at ‘Ghz’ which stands for Gigahertz and this is an area where it’s worth spending a little more money.

RAM: Your RAM is the ‘short term memory’ of your computer and what it uses to store information temporarily. The higher this is, the better your computer will be at multitasking. When you buy Asus notebooks, anything that’s 2GB or above is good. This is usually upgradable.

Graphics Card: A graphics card is what allows your computer to display graphics. The more powerful this is, the better you will be at video playback and generating 3D graphics.

Hard Drive: Your hard drive is where your ‘long term’ information is stored, and it’s basically like a CD drive in your laptop. This can range from several hundred Gigabytes to a Terabyte these days and this will dictate how many movies and how much music you can fit on your system. Don’t worry too much here though as there are many ways to expand your memory.
